ABOUT ME
Dr. Sameer Parmar is a Clinical Application Manager at STORZ MEDICAL AG with more than two decades of experience in urolithiasis and Shockwave Lithotripsy. His work focuses on clinical application training, treatment planning, imaging, protocol optimisation and the practical implementation of SWL across different clinical settings.
He has extensive hands-on experience in shockwave lithotripsy and has trained urologists, technicians and clinical teams internationally. A particular area of expertise is ultrasound-guided SWL, including stone localisation, alignment and real-time treatment monitoring using ultrasound imaging.
Dr. Parmar also has broad experience in the treatment of paediatric and higher-risk patients, with an emphasis on careful patient selection, precise targeting, personalised treatment protocols and non-invasive stone management. His work is guided by the concept of a personalised stone approach, adapting treatment strategy to the patient, stone characteristics and available technology.

With experience spanning more than 20,000 lithotripsy procedures across different lithotripter platforms and imaging systems, Dr. Sameer Parmar has developed broad practical expertise in Shockwave Lithotripsy. A particular area of focus has been ultrasound-guided treatment, including radiation-free ESWL workflows in appropriately selected patients.
His experience includes the management of paediatric, geriatric and medically complex patients, including individuals with co-existing conditions such as renal angiomyolipoma. He has also successfully performed more than 50 lithotripsy procedures for pancreatic and common bile duct stones, further extending his expertise beyond conventional urinary stone treatment.

I have known Sameer for about the last four years since he joined Dornier MedTech.
